Abstract
The author presents a program designed to address the problem of violence against women. The “Awake and Alive!” seminar combines the social and psychological principles of transactional analysis, information derived from research and from experiences working with and in the American criminal justice system, and an innovative system of self-defense techniques based on everyday movements referred to as Natural Movement Self-Defense.
