Abstract
This article discusses some theoretical and practical issues concerning the use of transactional analysis in organizations. Based on Berne's (1964/1967) concern about the use of theories of internal psychodynamics in larger groups, the author emphasizes the need to adjust transactional analysis concepts to the understanding of psychosocial processes involved in organizational transformation. The distinction between applicability and application of transactional analysis theory in the organizational setting is analyzed.
