Abstract
The following study on "The Planning of Vocational-Technical Education and Secondary School Reform in France" is part of a more comprehensive work that contains reports on other countries as well as a general introduction. To be certain that it is comprehensible in its present, separate form, we call attention to several hypotheses of the overall study that are essential to an understanding of this one.
