Abstract
The problems of training the labor force for the skills needed in industry and coordinating the supply and demand of these skills were first discussed in France even before governmental planning — and educational planning, in particular — brought to light certain gaps in the research on occupational structure and vocational training and, in so doing, encouraged new interest in it.
