Abstract
How are today's youth perceived by a teacher? What position do they take with regard to their own situation, their desires, and their anxieties, when they are asked about them in the classroom? The following brings together the thoughts of a teacher with the statements of male and female apprentices who also are students and shows what can be learned by lending an attentive ear to them.
