Abstract

The introduction of coeducation caused a steady increase in the number of girls in the educational system until now they are represented in the same proportion as boys. The renewed critical demand for "socialization of the sexes" in the school comes from the new women's movement, as does a greater sensitivity in detecting sex-discriminating structures and forms of interaction in the society, school, and at work.
