Abstract
In considering the place of the natural sciences in the curriculum of schools, one cannot fail to recognize their centrality in the lives and work of those of us living in the industrialized countries around the globe. That includes Europe where educators have shown much concern about the placement of science in the curriculum, the goals to be sought, the content, and the instructional methodology deemed effective.
