Abstract
Four children with β-thalassemia intermedia ages 7 toll years developed a clinical picture characterized by headache, hypertension, convulsion, and cerebral hemorrhage after blood transfusion. Successive tramfusions did not result in a similar picture. Factors responsible for this syndrome are discussed.
