Abstract
The paper starts with a simple general model linking some aspects of psychosomatic and psychosocial function, with its broad clinical relevance. This is elaborated to 'place' fantasising as an individual and communal function. A new system of psychophysiological metabolism is introduced — with diagnostic, therapeutic and research implications.
