Abstract
In this informational survey, the author briefly explores the needs of professional staff and administrators who serve students in alternative educational settings and special education and provides a listing of helpful Internet resources. Initially, the author provides general information concerning the current state of alternative education programming including the variety currently exhibited by the types of alternative programs being offered. Next, content is presented concerning the informational inquiries of school professionals who work collaboratively to educate at-risk students served in alternative schools. At the conclusion of the article, the author lists related Internet Web sites and includes a brief synopsis highlighting the salient content of each site.
