‘Effectiveness of Continuing Professional Development’ project: A summary of findings

Her funded projects at local and national levels have involved evaluation, survey, case study and ethnographic methodologies. Her publications include two books focusing on research methodologies.

She was Director of CPD for the College of Emergency Medicine for 5 years and is now Director of Revalidation. She teaches undergraduates and postgraduates and on Advanced Life Support courses.

Peter Driscoll Department of Emergency Medicine, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust Hope Hospital, Salford, UK; Mr PETER DRISCOLL is Consultant in emergency medicine and co-founder and trustee for the Advanced Life Support Group. He is Professor in the College of Emergency Medicine. He has been directly involved in the development of six different types of life support courses, including most recently, the European Trauma Course.
