Abstract

Radiological and environmental impact assessment models are important tools that support nuclear safety. The present study summarizes the upgrades of a research-grade model (CROPTRIT) with an emphasis on a soil submodel and the balance between air-to-plant and soil-to-plant pathways, together with the needs that must be accomplished by an operational model in order to be applied to nuclear facilities involving large tritium loads.
