Abstract
These days various systems have been developed by utilizing bio-polymers for targeted drug delivery and as bio-adsorbents for different kinds of pollutants removal and they are used frequently because of no hazards, prolonged services, and regeneration. The other applications are using these bionanocomposites (BNCs) like frequency of dose reduced, growth in the therapeutic index and removal of pollutants up to many fold regenerative cycles. Guar-gum-based BNC has emerged as the key prospect to tailor the control release drug and to reduce the pollution. This article discusses the different preparation methods of guar-gum-based BNCs, studies on organ-specific effective drug delivery and removal of pollutants from waste as well as drinking water. The article also discussed difficulties encountered while making the BNCs with different methods. The unique properties of guar gum nanocomposite by comparing with other polymer have also given space.
