Abstract
This paper aims to consider the role of time in relationship to microperformance, specifically the idea of a slowing down. By focussing on pieces by Marina Abramović, Tina Tarpgaard, and Rimini Protokoll, we intend to explore how audience engagement might be slowed down to better afford space for critical reflection, co-creative process and the development of a post-human network of performance assemblages.
