Note: Participants were asked to self-identify gender and race/ethnicity using an open-ended question. It is important to note that while female/male are generally associated with sex rather than gender, the responses presented here are consistent with those provided by participants. Participants were also asked to describe their VI via an open-ended question. Responses were discussed with participants and reconstructed by Justin to ensure that descriptions captured particularities of the participants’ VI while removing medical jargon for readability.
