ABSTRACT
The peer-review process and manuscript acceptances rates as they relate to publishing quantitative research are presented. First, regarding the peer review process, issues of possible bias, Editor and reviewer roles, what constitutes “significant” research and broad versus narrow focus are investigated. Second, accetance rates are explored as they relate to demographic category, journal ranking lists, desk rejects, and null results. Means to deal effectively with each are elaborated upon, both before submitting a manuscript and after receiving feedback.
