Abstract

The present work deals with the implementation of the dynamic stiffness method (DSM) for exact in-plane and out-of-plane vibration analysis of carbon nanotube (CNT)-reinforced multilayered functionally graded (FG) plates with three different CNT distributions. The frequency-dependent dynamic stiffness matrix is solved using Wittrick-William technique to obtain the natural frequencies and mode shapes of FG-CNT plates having different geometrical configurations. The effect of varying plate parameters is extensively studied. Influence of layer configurations on the dynamic behavior of the plates is highlighted. Most of these reported results are new and will be useful in the design of non-uniform FG-CNT plate structures.
