Purpose for TOMI Use	Insufficient Curriculum	It was my first year teaching senior English. And our grade level, we don’t have a set curriculum aside from our textbook. And again it’s one of those textbooks that’s old that white guys across the board. And so it’s not really representative of our population.
	Student Engagement	One of the things that we really look for is, what are students willing to engage with. Because it’s difficult to get them to engage, a lot of the times, with anything.
	Ready-made materials	And then there’s other things that are just kind of, we’re going to need this so why not find someone who’s great at doing this thing and buy their resources to do it.
	Saving Time	So having pre-made stuff that I can just drop into a Google Doc and put on Canvas or make a copy of really saves time as far as my prep work, which it lets me then turn around and focus more on giving them solid feedback and really getting to know what their strengths are.
	Ideas, Inspiration, and Community	I just don’t have those people and so I guess I look to social media and I'm like, “Oh, see, there are other people. There are people like me. I'm not weird. I'm not putting too much effort into this. It’s okay to be this way and to be excited about these fun things and I don’t need to be looked down on for it.”
