Brendan Cantwell

Brendan Cantwell is an Associate Professor of Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education at Michigan State University. Brendan is joint Editor-in-Chief of the journal Higher Education. His work addresses the political economy of higher education and has been published in leading journals in the field, including The Journal of Higher Education, Research in Higher Education, Teachers College Record, and the Harvard Educational Review. He has coauthored or coedited four books.

Barrett J. Taylor

Barrett J. Taylor is an Associate Professor of Higher Education at the University of North Texas. His research focuses on power and inequality in higher education, with specific attention to institutional stratification and its consequences for students, state policy and politics in higher education, and the organization of academic work. He is the coauthor (with Brendan Cantwell) of Unequal Higher Education: Wealth, Status and Student Opportunity (Rutgers University Press, 2019).
