Abstract
Present and planned facilities for skiing in Scotland are examined, the features of the ten potential sites for development being summarised and comparisons made by means of a checklist and analysis of the data therein. Present planning processes are discussed and suggestions made for future options. It is argued that an expanded programme of land evaluation will be required, together with changes in the attitudes of existing bodies.
