Abstract

The frequency of dramatic play depends on some specific factors such as: 1. young children's maturational status; 2. children's various social settings and culture; 3. children's interaction with parents; 4. teacher's intervention in children's play; 5. variety of props that children use in their play; 6. children's individual differences; 7. place where play takes place; 8. size of the group of children; 9. children's as well as tutors’ attitude towards play; 10. children's familiarity with and security in the environment where play takes place; 11. duration and time of play period; and 12. presence or absence of other activities during play.
