European Journal of Engineering Education welcomes Professor Shannon Chance as new Deputy Editor. She is well known as an author in this journal (see Chance, Direito, and Mitchell Citation2022; Direito, Chance, and Malik Citation2021; Chance, Duffy, and Bowe Citation2020). Behind the stage, she has also served as a fair, constructive and encouraging reviewer for several years. Dr Chance joins the core editorial team, with Kristina Edström, Editor-in-Chief, and Deputy Editors Jonte Bernhard and Maartje van den Bogaard.

Kristina Edström

Shannon Chance, PhD, is a Registered Architect holding bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Architecture from Virginia Tech and a PhD in Higher Education from William and Mary. She is a Visiting Professor at University College London and Lecturer and Programme Chair (Honours BSc in Building Information Modeling/Digital Construction) at Technological University Dublin. She also is a LEED Accredited Professional and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) in the UK. Shannon has served as Chair of the Research in Engineering Education Network (REEN), Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Education, Full Professor of Architecture in the USA, Fulbright Fellow to Ireland, and a Marie Curie Research Fellow to both Ireland and the UK.
