Abstract
Bullying is a widespread problem with detrimental effects on and costs to companies and their employees. Simply raising employees’ awareness of the complexities of bullying can decrease the frequency of such behavior within companies. However, there are few conceptual models that provide an in-depth understanding of bullying tactics and behaviors. This article attempts to fill that gap by suggesting ways to understand workplace bullying through the lens of transactional analysis.
