Introducing New Coeditors and Editorial Board Members

New Coeditors

Alexandra Gheorghe is a Certified Transactional Analyst (psychotherapy) and a psychotherapist in private practice in Romania. She has been part of the TA community since 2007. After writing her CTA exam, she became interested in the process of writing, specifically in taking what has meaning inside and translating it into writing that carries the same significance and liveliness to readers. Alexandra initiated the Conversations in TA project with three colleagues to make video interviews with TA authors. The aim has been to look at TA writings through the lens of the authors’ personal and professional experiences. Alexandra has been working as a TAJ reviewer for the past 3 years and found it rewarding to look at TA writing from that viewpoint. It also provided her with many learning opportunities, and Alexandra now looks forward to contributing in her new role as coeditor.

Karen Minikin is a Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst (psychotherapy), psychotherapist, trainer, and supervisor working in West Somerset, United Kingdom. She uses and thinks about transactional analysis from a psychodynamic and collective/political frame of reference. She is enthusiastic about writing that contributes to the professional canon of transactional analysis as well as writing that reaches and touches our humanity. Previously, Karen was a member of the TAJ editorial board and associate editor for the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Therapy Today). She currently contributes to the journal Politics and Psychotherapy International edited by Keith Tudor.

Jill Guest, MSc, is a Certified Transactional Analyst (psychotherapy) and a UKCP-registered psychotherapist working with individuals and couples in a diverse, multicultural practice in Hong Kong. Previously, while living in London, she worked part-time in private practice and in the National Health Service as a psychodynamic psychotherapist working with individuals and facilitating bereavement process groups. Jill has contributed to the Transactional Analyst (the magazine of the UK Association for Transactional Analysis) and the practice website in Hong Kong. She is also a written exam marker for CTA exams. In one of her previous roles, as an assessor for sign language interpreter trainees, she was involved in the reviewing and assessment of portfolio work. Jill holds a BA (Hons) in deaf studies and psychology and a PGDip in British Sign Language (BSL)/English interpreting. Having been involved with the Deaf community since 1990 and worked with BSL users who define themselves as a cultural linguistic minority, she has an appreciation and curiosity about the cultural and linguistic aspects involved and has transitioned these into her clinical practice.

Mandy Lacy, PhD, is a Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst (organizational), holds a master’s degree in learning science and technology, and completed her doctoral research examining group memory and learning in the workplace. Mandy is a reviewer for the Patient Education and Counselling Journal, an honorary member of the editorial board for Personality in a Changing World: Health, Adaptation and Development, and a reviewer for the International Journal of Transactional Analysis Research and Practice. Over the last 20 years, Mandy has been involved in significant digital transformation programs specializing in benefits realization management, business transformation, leadership development, and strategic planning. She is an experienced consultant, facilitator, coach, workplace educator, and trainer. Mandy resides in New Zealand, loves spending time with her ever-expanding family, and enjoys the beach, her garden, writing, and becoming an emerging artist.

Anca Tiurean became an enthusiastic reader of the Transactional Analysis Journal as a psychology student in 2003. After graduating, she pursued training in family therapy and has been working as a licensed systemic therapist in Romania since 2012. TA has always been her most valuable asset in systemic practice and her safe haven in terms of handling difficulties both personal and professional. With the support of an excellent group in Timisoara, she started working on her CTA exam paper in 2019. Anca is currently a member of the editorial board of the ARAT Newsletter and appreciates being in constructive dialogue with other authors, appreciating their work, and offering and receiving feedback, recommendations, and clarifications. In 2016 Anca became a philosophy student and loves examining the clarity, limits, justification for, and implications of formulated ideas.
