Abstract
This article reports the outcomes of a study investigating the correlates of the three aspects of organizational culture – cultural consensus, structure, and organizational values. Nine hundred ten employees in 79 nonprofit organizations in the states of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida constituted the sample for this study. Cultural consensus was positively related to transformational leadership practices and negatively related to formalization. Organizational values were positively related to transformational leadership practices, negatively related to size, formalization, and centralization. Finally, five structures of organizational cultures differed with regard to leadership, size, and occupational differentiation.
