Abstract
This article examines how to engage students in making transformative change through reflective practice. Transformational learning is a term that describes the process by which a person ponders on what they are learning. This leads them to contemplate their belief systems from personal experience, critical reflection, and rational discourse that help them to identify, assess, and reformulate key assumptions on which their perspectives are constructed. Reflective practice can help a person to expand existing points of view, establish new points of view, transform a point of view, or become aware of the impact that bias can have on one's view of groups unlike oneself.
