Abstract
Numbers of the leaf hopper, Amrasca devastans on okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L.) was studied during 1986 and 1987. The leaf hopper started from June and remained active till the end of the crop. Among different environmental factors, the only significant factor in both years of study was minimum temperature. A positive correlation was found between the maximum and minimum temperature with the density count of leaf hoppers. Both relative humidity and rainfall had no significant contribution towards increasing or decreasing the leaf hopper numbers.
