Abstract

In this research work, was utilized green process for the synthesis of chromen derivatives is illustrated using one-pot reactions of anthranilic acid, 2-hydroxyacetophenone or its derivatives and dimethyl carbonate in the vicinity of catalytic amount of KF/Clinoptilolite nanoparticles in water as green solvent at 80 °C in short time. This procedure that is described here have some advantages such as short time of reaction, simple and green procedure, using low-cost catalyst, generation of product with excellent yield and employing various substrate for doing these reactions.

    Highlights

  • Among heterocyclic compounds, chromene derivatives are important compounds with biological property for instance anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antihyperglycemic and antineurodegenerative disorders similar to Alzheimer’s, Parkinson illness.

  • The present methodology avoids the use of toxic catalyst.

  • Also, chromenes are one of the imperative heterocyclic compounds that are seen broadly in plant, microorganisms and animals.

  • This recoverable catalyst makes this protocol attractive and useful as an eco-safe catalyst with high yields of products.
