Abstract

The synthesis of heterocyclic compounds is always one of the most important challenges among synthetic chemists. Pyranopyrazoles are an important class of heterocyclic compounds that are a rich source of biologically important molecules. These derivatives are present as key structures in natural products, bioactive, and biological molecules. So far, many catalytic systems and methods have been reported for the synthesis of these compounds. However, the synthesis of pyranopyrazoles through multicomponent reactions is of great importance, especially from the point of view of green chemistry. During the last decade, the use of magnetic materials as catalysts in the synthesis of organic compounds, especially heterocycles, has created a huge revolution in organic chemistry. The easy and fast separation of magnetic nanocatalysts using only an external magnet is the most important advantage of this type of catalyst, in addition to the complete separation of the catalyst using an external magnetic field, these compounds have the ability to be reused, which leads to cost reduction and savings. This paper covers the catalytic applications of magnetically recoverable nanoparticles for the multicomponent synthesis of pyranopyrazole derivatives. In this review, we discussed on the detials and conditions for the synthesis of pyranopyrazoles as well as presented synthetic mechanisms for their preparation in the presence of nanomagnetic reusable catalysts.
