She recently coedited Technology and English Studies: Innovative Professional Paths with James A. Inman. Her current research includes online writing instruction, instant messaging, and the rhetoric of the eulogy.

Christa Ehmann Powers is Vice President of Education for Smarthinking, Inc., an online learning company.
