Notes

Venceremos means “we shall overcome.”

According to the Poynter Institute, the percentage of journalists holding college degrees has steadily grown. Half of all college-educated journalists (which is now about 90% of the workforce) earned a degree in journalism or communication. The largest proportion of journalism majors work for daily newspapers (43%), followed by wire services (36%), weekly newspapers (32%), television (31%), radio (22%), and newsmagazines (19%).
