Notes
1 In 2007 interview with Katve-Kaisa Kontturi and Milla Tiainen, Elizabeth Grosz offers ‘The concept of representation means two things: to present again in a different form, and to act on behalf or in place of something. Representation is generally understood as a framed separation from the world that relates to the world either through truth (for science) or through evocation (for the arts). Representation is mediation of a subject and a world, and is usually understood as what subjects use to construct a world, and themselves. I am much more interested in the dynamic force of the real itself and how the real enables representation and what of the real is captured by representation.’ (2007: p.247)
