David Law, formerly PVC (pro-vice-chancellor) (Students and External), retired from full-time employment at Edge Hill University in 2012 and then was Director of the Edge Hill Confucius Institute for two years. His academic interests are in the history of China and the internationalisation of HE. He continues to lecture on these subjects. David's career began as an academic at Glasgow and Keele Universities, prior to working as an Assistant Director for QAA (Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education). Following that, David was the Academic Registrar for University of Hull and then for Warwick. While at Warwick he became a strong supporter of internationalisation and was appointed as International Director for the University. He now works partly as an academic and partly as a consultant.
