Assessment and shoes – it’s all about fit: a case study of a multi‐method, multi‐level approach

Pages 253-262 | Published online: 12 Sep 2008

Abstract

A case‐study approach is used to illustrate the development and implementation of an assessment protocol used in a criminal justice bachelor degree program. Various means to measure student learning outcomes are discussed including a pre/post comprehensive test as well as a course embedded strategy. Information is also provided about the implementation of satisfaction surveys administered to seniors, alumni, and employers. The study illustrates the applicability of using a multi‐method, multi‐level approach in programmatic planning.
