Nick Pratt
Dr Nick Pratt is a Senior Lecturer in Education in the University of Plymouth Institute of Education. His research has focused on pedagogic relationships, particularly in the context of accountability and assessment and the ways in which these flow back into classroom practice. His current research focus is on the way in which assessment, and the tools used by teachers for conducting it, affects the nature of the subject and the kinds of mathematics that pupils experience. Dr Julie Alderton is Lecturer in Mathematics Education at the University of Cambridge. She is interested in relationships between education policies, teacher and student subjectivities and pedagogical practices, discourses and inequalities in mathematics education.
