Disability in the Christian Tradition's Potential Contribution to Teaching

Pages 263-270 | Published online: 08 Aug 2013

Abstract

The author of this article constructs a response to Disability in the Christian Tradition: A Reader (Brock & Swinton, 2012) from the working context of teaching a course on “Disability, Ethics, and Theology” at a Jesuit Catholic university. She explores the usefulness of the volume for the course and anticipates a possible response from her students, as well as highlighting theological insights from select theologians. Interspersed throughout the article are suggestions for how the book might enhance theological reflection in the current course.
