Abstract
This paper discusses wind farm (WF) power dispatch with a focus on optimizing power production from an electrical and mechanical standpoint through an integrated backstepping command and relying on back-to-back three-level converters with an NPC (Neutral Point Clamped) structure. The WF dispatch system sends the appropriate energy references to each wind generator to command the overall amount of energy generated by the WF. Considering three operation modes (maximum power point tracking, Delta, and Fault), this strategy guarantees the control of power references between the doubly-fed induction generator stator circuit and the grid side converter. Matlab was used to build the suggested management technique and control each wind generator’s reactive and active power. The performance of the command law, which offers flexibility, high precision, and quick reaction, is also studied.
