After publication, the authors noticed that the representative western blot images of SQSTM1 and ACTB in Figure 5L were mistakenly replaced by the representative western blot images of SQSTM1 and ACTB in Figure 6K. This error was inadvertently caused during the assembly of the western blot images. Fig. 5L has now been corrected as shown below and has been corrected online. This error has no effect on the description, interpretation, or the original conclusions of the manuscript. We are sorry for the error and the inconvenience this could have caused.

The authors also noticed an error in the western blot images of PRKN (Figure 9B) and ACTB (Figure 9B and 9D) that was a result of improper cropping of the image. To clarify, herein the authors used brain lysates from 3 wild-type (WT) and 4 HIV-1 Tg rats for assessing the expression of auto/mitophagy markers. The authors intended to present images of 3 WT and 3 HIV-1 Tg rats, but made an error in cropping PRKN and ACTB, such that the data are actually from 2 WT and 4 HIV Tg rats (lane 1 was cropped accidentally). For Figure 9D, however, we erroneously used the ACTB of lanes 1-6 of Fig 9B. The authors show below correct western blot images and quantification. The corrections do not affect the description, interpretation, statistical analyses, or the original conclusions of the manuscript, and the revised figures have now been corrected online. The authors are apologetic for the error and any confusion this may have caused.
