ABSTRACT
The current research explores the effect of principals’ ambidexterity on creativity. A model of principals’ ambidexterity as predictor of school ambidexterity and organizational support of creativity, further predicting creativity-fostering teacher behavior (CFTB); organizational support of creativity and school ambidexterity as mediators between principals’ ambidexterity and CFTB; and organizational support of creativity as mediator between principals’ and schools’ ambidexterity, was examined for 798 teachers and 71 principals from 71 Arab elementary schools in Israel. Using a doubly latent ML-SEM approach, organizational support of creativity was found to be the missing link between principals’ ambidexterity and both school ambidexterity and CFTB.
