Disclosure statement
Whilst I have attempted to approach this review with both an academic head and an open heart I do have prior knowledge of the lead editor, having engaged in some intensive research and publication over many years with her. I have used my knowledge of her background as part of my critique, and some might view this as unfair. However, I this knowledge is also available through desktop research, which I carried out to establish the backgrounds of the other two editors. I have had no direct contact with any of the editors during the writing of this review. Any mistakes, therefore, are entirely my own and open to correction.
Notes
1. The book uses several terms for this discipline, depending on the allegiance of the individual authors. I have chosen to use this term in order to reflect both USA, European and British terms for the same profession. The exception to this is where the book uses a particular term, or where I am referring to a practitioner from a particular country. In these cases, I use the term appropriate to that country, as in Dance / Movement Therapist for the USA.
