Courtney M. Thompson
Courtney M. Thompson is an assistant professor in the Department of Geography at Texas A&M University. Her research in human–environment interactions examines relationships between social systems and natural hazard impacts using a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods, including GIS, survey analysis, and spatial statistics.

Forrest J. Bowlick
Forrest J. Bowlick is a senior lecturer and Geography Program Co-Head in the Department of Geosciences and the Department of Environmental Conservation at the University of Massachusetts–Amherst. His work investigates how students learn GIS, especially in concert with learning computational skills and practices. Through curriculum and instruction analysis in GIS, Forrest aims to build an evidence-based understanding of GIS and geography education.
