Julia Parra

Dr. Julia Parra is an associate professor at New Mexico State University (NMSU) in the College of Education. She is the Director for NMSU’s Online Teaching and Learning Graduate Certificate Program and is the coordinator for the Learning Design & Technology programs. Dr. Parra’s research interests include the interactions among learning design, technology, and innovation; and recently added, culturally relevant teaching and learning with focus areas of online teaching and learning, emerging technologies, and social media. Suparna Chatterjee

Dr. Suparna Chatterjee is an assistant professor of biology at Arkansas Tech University teaching Microbiology, Immunology, and Science Education. She graduated with a second PhD in Curriculum & Instruction and completed an Online Teaching Learning Graduate Certificate from NMSU. She taught online undergraduate- and graduate-level educational technology courses at NMSU. She developed and evaluated STEM curricula in the Institute for Excellence in Math and Science Education at NMSU. Her research interests include online education, biology education, teacher education, active learning strategies, and culturally responsive pedagogies for diverse classrooms.

Ayman Alzaid

Ayman Alzaid is a full-time PhD student; he is pursuing his PhD at NMSU in Computer Science & Curriculum and Instruction, Learning Design & Technology. He is currently a research and teaching assistant. His research interests include education data science, educational games and interactive tools to enhance learning, e-Learning, and parental engagement with the use of educational technology.

Thomas Korang

Thomas Korang is a doctoral candidate at NMSU, where he is currently a research and teaching assistant. He is also a secondary education supervisor, and he has been supervising practicum students/preservice teachers since 2017. His concentration at NMSU is Learning Design and Technology. Thomas has an Online Teaching and Learning Graduate Certificate. He obtained his master’s degree in Public Administration within the Higher School of Economics at National Research University in Russia.
