Abstract
A simple and practical procedure was developed for determination of pyridoxine (PN) based on electrochemically reduced graphene oxide (ERGO) modified carbon ceramic electrode (CCE). Due to the unique electrical and structural properties of ERGO, this electrode showed an enhancement effect on electrocatalytic oxidation of PN. Based on this study, a sensitive and simple voltammetric method was developed for determination of PN resulting a wide linear response over the concentration range 1–70 µM and 25–800 µM, with a detection limit of 0.3 µM (S/N=3) and sensitivity of 2180.6 and 468.5 mA M-1 cm-2 respectively using differential pulse and cyclic voltammetry techniques. The developed sensor showed satisfactory results for PN determination in pharmaceutical samples.
