Abstract
A new heteronuclear complex [LCuCo(NO3)2] (1) (H2L = N,N'-ethylenebis [3-methoxysalicylaldimine]) was synthesized and structurally characterized. The complex consists of a dimer skeleton which composed of a slightly distorted square-planar copper and pentacoordinated cobalt ions. The magnetic properties reveal the presence of antiferromagnetic interactions between the metal centers linked by double phenoxo-bridging.
