This article is an edited version of the speech delivered by the author on receiving the 2012 Eric Berne Memorial Award. The theoretical basis of the two articles on power and leadership and organizational scripts for which she won the award are discussed, and the use of transactional analysis concepts for understanding organizational behavior is described.
