IV. Personalities in Groups

Integrating Transactional Analysis and Group Process Approaches in Treatment

Pages 328-331 | Published online: 28 Dec 2017

Abstract

Most therapists focus their attention on the transactions which occur between themselves and group members, and among the members. These transactions influence the group's development. Identifying those transactions which are commonly associated with one or another phase of the group's development enables the therapist to make interventions which may both facilitate therapy and contribute to the group's development over time.
