Abstract

Graphene exhibits exceptional electrical, optical, thermal, and mechanical properties. It has received worldwide attention since graphene was reported in 2004. The remarkable characteristics of graphene have led to its rapid development for use in the sensors. This paper focuses on the latest developments in the areas of field effect transistors, nanoribbons, and nanopores using DNA as a transducer element. Future perspectives and possible challenges are also discussed.
