A laboratory group model for engaging undergraduates in faculty research

Pages 128-130 | Published online: 20 Nov 2009

Abstract

In this article, I outline a laboratory group program for engaging large numbers of undergraduate psychology students in faculty research at small liberal arts colleges that have limited research resources. Participation in the group enhances the students' interest in and understanding of psychological research and improves their chances of being accepted into competitive graduate programs while allowing faculty to conduct multiple projects in an efficient manner.
