Young People's Political Knowledge

Abstract

Not surprisingly perhaps, much more research appears to have been done on young people's political attitudes and beliefs than on their political knowledge and understanding of the political process [22, 24]. This is no doubt due to the fact that it is assumed that political attitudes are better predictors of political behavior (i.e., voting) than political knowledge, though all three are of course related.
