Cultural-Ecological Frame of Reference as Organizer of Contents in Environmental Education

Abstract

The article examines the cultural-ecological model as a frame of reference for environmental education. The starting point is the complexity of environmental problems, which calls for a holistic and multidisciplinary approach. On the basis of the cultural-ecological model, the interrelationship between some cultural phenomena and ecology are discussed and conclusions regarding teaching are presented.
